In industrial powder transfer and vibratory sifting processes, legacy flexible sleeve designs often introduce critical operational risks. The reliance on internal continuous metal wires for grounding, or internally molded steel rings for vacuum support, frequently leads to flexural fatigue. This results in metal fragmentation contaminating the product flow and triggering non-stop false alarms on inline metal detectors. Furthermore, sleeves requiring specialized mechanical pry tools often suffer from scratched spigot sealing faces during routine washdowns.
The SOSHH Independent Engineering Architecture
To eliminate these hazards and provide a maintenance-free upgrade path, SOSHH has re-engineered the sanitary snap-in architecture using advanced polymer science and fully public-domain radial expansion geometry:
- HF-Welded External Pockets (Metal Detector Transparent) Instead of embedding metal within the sleeve wall, the PU-10-VR Vacuum Series utilizes non-metallic engineering polymer rings (POM) housed entirely inside high-frequency (HF) welded external pockets. This modular exterior approach ensures the connector is 100% transparent to X-ray and metal detection systems, while easily withstanding -1000 mbar negative pressure.
- Intrinsic ATEX Dissipation (Zero Wire Contamination) The PU-10-AS ATEX Connectors achieve explosion-proof compliance purely through material formulation. Manufactured from a permanent static-dissipative polyether TPU (10^6 ~ 10^9 Ω), static charge bleeds naturally through surface contact. By completely eliminating internal braided metal grounding wires and rivets, the risk of metal contamination in food-grade lines is reduced to zero.
- External Pull-Tabs (100% Tool-Free Extraction) To independent engineering the need for proprietary mechanical screwdrivers or slotted spigots, SOSHH integrates exterior HF-welded Pull-Tabs on the sealing cuffs. Operators simply apply manual radial compression to the tabs, enabling a 100% Tool-Free extraction in under 10 seconds with bare hands.
