When should plants choose CNC-machined PTFE bellows over polyether TPU flexible connectors?
While virgin polyether TPU is ideal for abrasive dry powders below 90°C, CNC-machined virgin PTFE bellows are required for extreme operating conditions. Choose PTFE when your process involves continuous live steam sterilization (SIP at 121°C to 135°C), aggressive acids/alkalis across pH 0 to 14, strong organic solvents, operating temperatures up to +260°C, or reactive battery cathode slurries.
